About the role Mō te tūranga:
Our Christchurch laboratory is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time Laboratory Technician to join the Microbiology Department.

A Laboratory Technician with microbiology experience is preferred; however consideration will also be given to training someone with the right skills preferably with a science background. This position is 48 hours per fortnight ideally 8 hours Monday Tuesday and Friday but we are open for negotiations with the right candidate. There will be participation in a Saturday morning roster once fully trained.

Ability to organise prioritise and focus on daily work to meet turnaround times
Preference for candidates with microbiology experience but open to expertise in other related areas.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
Enthusiasm energy and a driven outlook
