Are you an experienced Buyer with a strong background in indirect procurement
Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Supply Chain team on a 6-month temporary assignment. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy managing supplier relationships while making strategic purchasing decisions we want to hear from you.
The Opportunity
As a Temporary Buyer you will play a key role in supporting our Supply Chain team by:
- Procuring materials and services in line with business requirements.
- Making tactical buying decisions using and updating our ERP system.
- Assisting in strategic purchasing activities particularly for indirect spend.
- Ensuring the best balance of quality delivery and cost across all procurement activity.
- Managing supplier relationships and acting as the key point of contact between vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Capturing and recording Country of Origin data when required.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven experience in a purchasing/procurement role with a strong emphasis on indirect spend.
- Confidence in handling supplier negotiations contracts and resolving supply chain challenges.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems and a solid understanding of procurement processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external suppliers.
