Work Schedule:
This is a full-time Monday Friday position working 8-hour shifts five days per week. Hours can vary based on departmental needs. You will work at University Hospital Meriter Hospital and East Madison Hospital in Madison WI.
As an advanced practice provider youll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant General Nephrology Inpatient to:
- Partner with other advance practice providers on Nephrology Consult Services.
- Independently care for hospitalized patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease.
- Be an active acute care provider and collaborate with other professionals in formulating plans of care.
- Manage renal replacement therapy including Hemodialysis continuous renal replacement therapy and peritoneal dialysis.

Education:
If Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorates degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum
If Nurse Practitioner*:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gero Acute Care
If Physician Assistant*:
- Active PA license including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
