Job Summary
Pharmacy Resident
Schedule: this is a full-time role that will work 40 hours/week. Shift times vary and this role could work day evening weekend and holiday shifts.

How youll contribute
A Pharmacy Resident who excels in this role:
- Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Reviews interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
- Provides drug information and education to medical staff healthcare professionals patients and pharmacy students.
- Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
- Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
- Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
- Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.
- Accurately and appropriately issues controlled substances to patient care areas.
- Corrects and attends to all discrepancies with controlled substances as required by law.

What were looking for
Applicants should be enrolled in or be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited advance pharmacy degree program. Additional requirements include:
- New Mexico pharmacist intern license for up to 90 days.
- Pharmacist license in the State of New Mexico within 90 days of beginning their program.
