Job Description
TheDepartment of Chemistry at Rice University in Houston TXseeks applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level with an anticipated start date of July 1 2026. We seek faculty members who will develop a world-leading dynamic and innovative research program in fundamental science and who will excel in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels while embracing Rice Universitys diverse community and culture of excellence.
We welcome applicants with expertise in any area ofChemistry for Energy and Sustainability including but not limited tochemistry research on solar energy conversion solar fuels environmental remediation photocatalysis polymer upcycling and green chemistry in general. Candidates must complete their application through Interfolio the hiring system for Rice University. A PhD in the chemical sciences or closely related fields is required by July 1 2026.
