Position Description
A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Million Tadege in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater OK. The selected candidate will study the molecular basis of leaf blade development in Medicago truncatula and chickpea. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic post-doctoral scientist with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: leaf blade development mutant screening and gene identification biparental mapping and map-based cloning advanced genome editing ChIP-seq RNA-seq and/or WGS data analysis. Applicants should be proficient in protein-protein and protein-DNA interaction techniques. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to write grants and develop independent projects for future career endeavors.
Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology Molecular Genetics Genomics Biochemistry or related field
* Demonstrated outstanding publication record
* Hands-on experience in biomolecular techniques
Preferred Qualifications
* One or more years of post-doctoral training in molecular biology and/or functional genomics
Employment Conditions
Post-doctoral appointments are 11-month full-time temporary faculty positions. Eleven-month appointments are from July 1 to May 31 with June being the off (unpaid) month. Reappointment for a total period of not more than three years may be made. The position will be filled by January 5 2026 or as soon thereafter as an acceptable applicant is available.
