Job Summary: As a Shift Supervisor you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Calabrese Youth Center by ensuring the welfare and safety of residents and providing the necessary assistance to increase independent living addition you will provide leadership guidance and support to a team of residential counselors during shift update staff pairings and cleaning responsibilities as needed and be the point person to contact the clinician on call when leadership is not present. Shift supervision will only be required of you for certain shifts based on your schedule and will rotate with a team of shift supervisors at CYC. Essential Job Duties
Supervisory
In partnership with CYC leadership team you will provide coaching and guidance to a team of residential counselors to ensure they have the appropriate tools and resources to complete job responsibilities.
Assisting with onboarding new residents to CYC
Providing in the moment feedback while training new and current staff
Assisting Program Managers Clinical team and Director with coordinating staffing schedules and assigning activities for residents/residential counselors
Assisting Program Managers and Clinical team with day-to-day operations including: activity and outing planning providing staff breaks and inventory of essential items.
Assigning and completing daily cleaning duties
Direct Care
Capturing naturalistic opportunities to teach essential replacement skills such as communication coping skills and regulation skills
Creating opportunities for youth to generalize skills across environments including in the community
Teaching youth to complete essential daily living skills including bathing chores and money management to increase independence
Respond to emergencies and crisis situations promptly and effectively.
Drive participants as necessary for program needs.
Oversee health and welfare of children/youth and report concerns and progress to clinical team and program managers.
Provide direct behavioral support and assist with skill building per the treatment plan
Provide 24-hour supervision to children/youth.
Assist with onboarding new youth and orienting them to the center.
Implementing behavior plans and treatment goals
Collecting data on behavioral and treatment goals
Administrative
Maintain accurate records of resident interactions progress and incidents.
Ensure the completion passing of medication is smooth and timely.
Ensure physical management reports are completed before end of shift.
Assisting the clinical team with creating program materials and documentation
Completing continuing education trainings
Attending group supervision and case planning meetings
Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Requirements
At least 21 years of age
Minimum of 3 months experience at The Calabrese Youth Center.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
Completion of internal 40 hour RBT training.
Demonstrates and maintains highly ethical practices
