We create leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats protect the integrity of our systems and support Raytheon IT infrastructure around the world.
System Administrators Apprentices collaborate with many teams to support fast-paced critical programs with classified information systems. Upon completion of this program you will have the ability to maintain a secure cost-efficient Information Technology environment across various classified programs.
What You Will Do:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems at Pima community College while working a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Must work on site at a Raytheon facility in Tucson Arizona
- Learning to manage IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Understanding and gaining knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS DHCP AD and server replication methods.
- Manage Information Systems by using the command line
- Learning to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
- Learning troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
- Gaining an understanding of data RAID data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Learning to team with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
- Develop documentation and training material on and refine advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security CE or equivalent certification)
- Less than 5% travel
- 100% on site position
- Must be Arizona resident
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date U.S. citizenship isrequired as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- An active DoD clearance
- Working experience in Windows Server 2008 to and 2022
- Knowledge of NAS or SAN technologies
- Knowledge of VMWare vCenter vSphere and ESX virtual computing methods (i.e. Nutanix Hyper V etc)
- Knowledge of Microsoft WSUS SCCM Exchange and Lync
- Experience with Backup Exec NetApp Snap Protect data backup technologies systems principles and safeguards
- Basic Windows scripting
- Experience with Windowsand/or Linux Server Operating Systems (OS)
- Experience DNS DHCP Active Directory Backup and Recovery enterprise suites
