Job Description

Join Our Team

We are seeking to recruit a Midday Supervisor to supervise pupils aged 4-11 years. You need to enjoy working with children be a reliable and dedicated role model someone who is professional trustworthy polite and able to use your own initiative.

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for supervising children during their lunch break in the dining hall playground or classroom and will have experience working with young people.

You will have further responsibility for supporting activities during lunchtimes and actively engaging children in active purposeful play. You will deal with behavioural issues in line with school policy.

If you are able to communicate calmly and positively with pupils are committed to promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people and can demonstrate the qualities of a good role model then please apply to join our team.

We are a 3-form entry school plus a Nursery with just over six hundred children located in Billesley in the South of Birmingham. Our pupils generally live close to the school in the Billesley area; however some children come from further away. There are currently over 40 different ethnic groups represented in the school. The majority of pupils are either from White British or Pakistani backgrounds and about half of the pupils are learning English as an additional language

In our most recent Ofsted Inspection we continue to be Outstanding and thrive as an organisation.

The school is inclusive. Precise identification of the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is a real strength of the schools provision. Pupils with SEND get the support that they need to succeed and achieve well. Pupils who learn in the specialist resource base receive bespoke and effective support to prepare them well for their next steps in learning.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
