Job Summary
St. James House is accepting applications for a part-time dietary aide and PRN.
JOBSUMMARY
The cooks Helper performs a variety of tasks including maintenance of kitchen sanitation food preparation andother duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Must beable to read write and follow oral and written instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Previous experience preferable but not essential.
2. Physically able to carry out duties of the Cooks Helper.
3. Must have a pre-employment and an annual Tuberculosisscreening examination.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Has the ability to work well with co-workers.
2. Sanitizes kitchen equipment utensils and work area asassigned.
3. Assists with food preparation as assigned.
4. Assistswith tray assembly and service.
5. Assistsin dishwashing operation as necessary.
8. Prepares food in advance for the weeks menu as assigned.
9. Attends in-service and training programs as scheduled.
10. Assists the Cook in completion of food service tasks.
11. Performs other tasks as assigned.
12. Attendsrequired staff in-services meetings orientation and continuing education activitiesas required.
13. Is aware ofand adheres to Patients Bill of Rights and confidentiality of patientinformation including HIPAA regulations.
14. Interacts withpatients and family members co-workers clinical and ancillary staff in anon-judgmental supportive and calm manner.
15. Is aware ofPatient Abuse Reporting Law.
16. Participatesas assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a positivehelpful and enthusiastic attitude.
