Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Internal Medicine Physician with a strong interest or fellowship training in Geriatrics to join our Baylor Scott & White Dallas Texas clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate physician to provide specialized high-quality care to older adult patients within an integrated healthcare system that values excellence innovation and a team-based approach.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and primary care for high-risk adult and elderly patients.
Manage chronic diseases common in older adults (e.g. dementia heart failure osteoporosis diabetes polypharmacy).
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including physician assistant/nurse practitioners social workers pharmacists physical therapists and specialists in palliative and behavioral health.
Ability to build relationships with practicing physicians and offer consultation on patient eligibility to join geriatric panel.
Promote functional independence and quality of life through individualized care planning.
Participate in quality improvement and utilization initiatives specific to geriatric populations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO)
Licensed to practice in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Board-certified or actively pursuing board certification in Internal Medicine (American Board of Medical Specialties or Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists)
Geriatric fellowship training or extensive experience in the care of older adults is preferred
