Job Description
Reports to: Controller
Pay Group: Exempt
- Manage accounts payable cost analysis support and vendor invoice reviews for accuracy.
- Support the month-end close process including preparing financial statements schedules and reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and cash forecasts.
- Assist in preparation and review of variance reports to help drive informed decision-making.
- Assist with strengthening internal controls and accounting policies to enhance financial integrity and efficiency.
- Assist with audits and tax filings ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Manage all aspects of inventory accounting and cost accounting calculations and reporting.
- Manage and mentor accounts payable staff member and future accounting additions.
- Strong expertise in operational accounting financial analysis inventory management and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in NetSuite or similar software and general ledger systems.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables complex formulas) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and adaptability.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 4 years of experience in general ledger accounting reconciliations and ERP environments.
- Experience handling sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prolonged periods of sitting typing and working on a computer.
