System Architect

System Architect (Hybrid)

The System Architect will be responsible for leading the technical architecture and solution design of software application development projects under the WSSC BOA. This role ensures that all proposed solutions are scalable secure interoperable and aligned with WSSCs enterprise architecture technology standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall system architecture including integration with WSSC enterprise platforms such as Oracle ESRI ArcGIS ServiceNow and cloud environments.
• Translate business requirements into high-level technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Ensure all solutions meet performance security and compliance standards including cybersecurity and data governance requirements.
• Lead technology stack selection design patterns and development frameworks for proposed solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams including guidance to Project Managers Developers and Testers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with WSSCs Application Portfolio and ensure system interoperability.
• Conduct design reviews validate architecture compliance and address scalability integration and reliability issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• 10 years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in solution/system architecture.
• Proven experience in designing enterprise solutions for utilities public sector or regulated industries.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure AWS) enterprise integration database technologies (Oracle SQL Server) and application development frameworks.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices data governance and system integration methodologies.
• Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.
