Job Summary
Nuclear Med Technologist (Permanent Role)
Location: College Station TX 77845
Shift: 8 hr Days 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality nuclear medicine exams accurately and timely.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine quality control per regulatory and manufacturer standards.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to explain procedures and address concerns ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
- Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct medications following protocols.
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth workflow and accurate image transfer to PACS.
- Assist with inventory management ordering supplies and reporting issues to leadership.
Success Factors:
- Ability to monitor and report patient condition changes effectively.
- Work independently managing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Maintain professionalism and patient-focused service even in stressful situations.
- Train new staff and students supporting quality education.
- Proficient in EMR PACS Microsoft Office and data security practices.
Required Certification:
- ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N): Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT): Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
