Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting circuit analysis and signal flow tracing on aircraft avionics systems.

• Conduct operational testing and troubleshooting on aircraft bench and/or flight line in compliance with DOD manufacturer company and supplier directives.

• Assemble install test and modify wire bundles and avionics systems.

• Interpret technical documentation including drawings wire diagrams work instructions and specifications.

• Diagnose and correct assembly process malfunctions; ensure compliance with quality requirements using precision instruments.

• Maintain required certifications licenses and permits.

• Train and assist less senior employees; may lead teams on complex tasks.

• Support other disciplines (General Mechanics Structures Electrics) to meet schedule and cost targets.

• Follow established safety procedures including Hazardous Energy and Lockout/Tagout systems.

• Perform duties 100% onsite at San Antonio TX.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance after start.

• High school diploma or GED

• Experience with F-15 or other fighter platforms.

• Hands-on experience with avionics systems such as Comm/Nav Data Links Weapons Radar or Electronic Warfare.

• 8 years working with schematics specifications assembly drawings and SOPs.

• 8 years of experience with aircraft computer systems and standard office software.

• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

• This position may involve weekends holidays and scheduled or unscheduled overtime to meet mission requirements.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with fighter platform modifications.

• Knowledge of EPAWSS modifications.

• Experience with COMSEC Radar or Electronic Warfare systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a production environment (sitting walking kneeling climbing gripping using tools).

• Stand for extended periods; work in elevated or confined spaces.

• Lift up to 35 lbs independently; occasional two-person lifts for heavier items.

• Frequent overhead reaching walking balancing and standing on various surfaces.

• Occasional crawling squatting and ladder climbing (3 12 ft).

• Exposure to noise solvents sealants metals plastics and atmospheric conditions.
