Job Summary

Title: Technical Architect Data Governance & Integration (Education Sector)
Location: Raleigh NC -Hybrid (Remote Onsite)
Duration: 12 months (with potential extensions)

Role Overview:

Looking for a Technical Architect / Data Governance Specialist to design and implement technical components of the district-wide Data Governance Framework. The role requires deep expertise in metadata management data lineage access controls and compliance-driven architecture across student information HR finance and analytics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data classification schemes metadata standards lineage models.
Integrate governance policies with district systems: Infinite Campus Oracle ERP LMS Power BI Microsoft Fabric.
Define and enforce access control models (Active Directory SSO RBAC).
Implement encryption standards for data at rest and in transit.
Develop incident response playbooks aligned to NIST and state laws.
Draft AI/analytics governance readiness guidelines for ethical use of AI and responsible data practices.
Support training efforts for IT staff and stewards through role-based technical modules.

Required Qualifications:

8 years in data architecture data governance or integration engineering.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Analytics or related field.
Demonstrated experience with student information systems (SIS) HR finance and analytics platforms.
Proficiency in Azure Data Factory SSIS Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Hands-on expertise with metadata management encryption lineage tools.
Familiarity with AI/analytics governance frameworks and responsible data use.
Certifications: Microsoft Azure Data Engineer DGSP Power BI Data Analyst preferred; AWS/Azure cloud certifications a plus.
