Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a Precious Metal Recovery company based in Sheffield on a flexible ad-hoc basis. The salary starts at 12.20 per hour but is dependent on experience.

The Company: Our Sheffield-based client specialises in recovering precious metals from industrial waste, chemical processes, and plant equipment.

Laboratory Technician Role:

Your main duties:

  • Performing Quality Control (QC) analysis on active projects
  • Undertake new project laboratory investigations, carry out experiments, interpret results and present findings
  • Maintaining data and calibration records
  • Reporting accidents, incidents and near misses
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of working in a Chemistry/Materials/Environmental laboratory environment
  • Organised, methodical and a good problem solver
  • Competent to present information to groups
