JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T) Center at Penn States Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to support research education and outreach initiatives focused on improving forensic nursing care for survivors of sexual violence.
Job Duties
- Administrative Support: Calendar management correspondence proofreading purchasing and event coordination.
- Communications: Create presentations update marketing materials manage website content and social media.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule meetings/webinars prepare agendas take minutes and manage follow-up.
- Outreach Support: Coordinate with partners submit conference abstracts research stakeholders.
- Project Support: Documentation inventory management training preparation and process improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
Necessary Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and web/creative tools (Adobe Creative Cloud WordPress preferred)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable learning new computer software and technology
- Experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom Teams)

About Our Program:
The SAFE-T Center at Penn State and its corresponding sexual assault forensic telehealth program (SAFE-T System) seeks to enhance specialty sexual assault forensic exam care in rural and underserved communities. Our nurse-led program is based out of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and housed at University Park PA. We began in 2016 with a US Department of Justice Office of Victims of Crime grant and have since grown and expanded the program beyond Pennsylvania.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988 Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security such as those concerning alcohol and drug use crime prevention the reporting of crimes sexual assault and other matters.
