General Summary
Functioning as a member of the Care Delivery Team the Secretary IV works under the direction of the Manager and/or RN Team Leader. She/he transcribes physician orders entering them into the computer; plans and organizes patient care records; coordinates communications of pertinent information to health team members and other departments; performs clerical duties according to specific needs; order unit supplies; promotes a positive climate for good interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships.
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be able to read write and perform simple mathematical computations.
Successful completion of a Medical Terminology is required.
Possess ability to meet public graciously.
Ability to type 35 wpm with accuracy required.
Demonstrate ability to report facts with accuracy follow instructions and complete assignments independently.
Obtains/maintains annual certification in CPR.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Reports To:
Reports to assigned Manager.
Shift/Schedule
7a-7p (12 hour shifts)
36 hours per week
Every other weekend and holiday.
