We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientedNetwork Engineer IIto join our growing IT Infrastructure team. This is an early-career role ideal for candidates with5 years of total IT experience including12 years of hands-on networking experience. Youll work alongside a team of experienced engineers to support and maintain our global network infrastructure which spans multiple data centers and 80 office locations.
This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their networking skills in a complex enterprise-scale environment while contributing to the performance and reliability of high-traffic platforms .
This position is located at our Richmond VA downtown campus and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in office and work from home Friday.
Responsibilities
Assist in theinstallation monitoring maintenance and supportof enterprise network infrastructure including switches firewalls wireless access points and SD-WAN appliances.
Respond to and resolvenetwork-related support tickets escalating as needed to senior engineers.
Participate inoffice network deployments upgrades and troubleshooting across global locations.
Support the implementation ofnetwork changesunder the guidance of senior engineers.
Help maintaindocumentationfor network configurations diagrams and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NetOps DevOps and Service Desk to ensure network availability and performance.
Learn and grow in areas such as routing switching wireless and security technologies.
Work with various networking technologies including but not limited to:
Firewalls Palo Alto
SDWAN Palo Alto Prisma
Cisco Catalyst switches
Wireless Aruba controllers and access points Clearpass
SASE Zscaler
IPAM Infoblox
Network Management LogicMonitor OpenText HPE UXI
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required from an accredited not for profit university or college(preferably in Computer Science or related field)
A track record of commitment to prior employers
5 years of total IT experience including1 years of hands-on experiencesupporting network infrastructure.
Familiarity with core networking concepts such asTCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs and VPNs.
Exposure to enterprise networking equipment (e.g. Cisco Aruba Palo Alto or similar).
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
A desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
One or more relevant certifications ( CompTIA Network Aruba ACMA or equivalent).
Experience supportingenterprise Wi-Fiand LAN/WAN environments.
Exposure tonetwork monitoring tools(e.g. LogicMonitor PRTG SolarWinds).
Familiarity withfirewall load balancing or cloud networking concepts (AWS Azure).
Experience working in environments withticketing systemsand change management processes.
