Job Summary:
Medi-Plex Healthcare is seeking aRegistered Nurseto provide nursing care to the terminally ill Hospice patients a needed. This position will provide assistance and understanding to the family in the home care situation and in time of bereavement. The Registered Nurse will work as a member of the Hospice team in providing Hospice team in providing Hospice care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state
- Ability to work independently make accurate and at times quick judgments.
- Ability to supervise others appropriately Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting.
- Acceptance of and adaptability to different social racial cultural and religious modes.
- Completed Hospice training program.
- 2 years of experience as a registered nurse
- Active patient contact within past three years

- Access screens triage and perform treatment ordered for patients
- Perform medical treatment as ordered by Physician
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications
- Assist with examinations procedures and other duties
- Oversee and coordinate the daily patient care
- Assist patients as needed with walking transfer specimen collection exam preparation etc.
- Complete EMR documentation and/or paper-based documentation
- Other duties as assigned such as new models of care and new types of procedures etc.
