Position Overview:
The Broadcast Studio Student Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of Chatham Universitys Broadcast Studio by assisting students faculty and staff with the rental and use of film television and production equipment. This role is ideal for students who are organized reliable and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional studio environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the check-in and check-out process for broadcast equipment through the use of our rental software.
Provide customer service to students faculty and staff using the studio and equipment.
Help track document and coordinate repairs for damaged or malfunctioning equipment
Maintain studio cleanliness and organization ensuring the space is ready for use for classes and student projects.
Enforce studio policies and procedures.
Conduct inventory and assist with general upkeep of equipment.
Perform light administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office Google Workspace or equivalent).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and work well with peers faculty and staff.
Interest in film television or technology is helpful but not required.
Reliable punctual and able to work independently when necessary.

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
