Job Summary

Oversees day-to-day clinical internperformance in the company. Responsible for sharing the rotationof on-call supervisors for all programs. Assure that the quality of clinical services is maintained through individual and group supervision.

Major Duties and responsibilities


1. Provide one-to-one and group supervision for assigned interns of Inclusion FamilyCounseling Center supporting and assisting in their daily duties with clients.

2. Assure that performance reviews are completed at mid term and end of term for those under directsupervision including establishing specific individual professional development goals.

3. Insure that clinical records areaccurate current and meet Medical Assistance standardsand DHS licensing regulations

4. Review all reports of suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults or minors and assure that appropriate actions are taken. Inform Clinical Director if reports involve alleged maltreatment by staff students or volunteers.

5. Assure that a quality improvement program is implemented.

6. Review all incident reports. Consider actions to be taken and implement changes to avoidsimilar incidents in the future.

7. Inform the Clinical Director and Executive Director in a timely manner of all relevantpolitical financial clinical and liability issues and make recommendations for any changes in procedures.

8. Propose participate in develop and revise program policies and procedures.

9. Participate in internal and external committees and management team meetings.

10. Maintain a caseload of IHT and OP cases (at least 10 hours per week) to ensure updated clinical knowledge and ability for interns to shadow supervisor process.

Other important responsibilities of supervisors include:

  • Reviewing Assessments for completeness such as identified strengths sensible clinical formulation and needs that are the basis of intervention;
  • Reviewing treatment plans to cross-check that the planned intervention matches the full extent of the prioritized needs;
  • Providing a weekly student seminar
  • Monitoring the delivery of care coordination services and assessing the need for referral to ICC;
  • Ensuring that there is ongoing communication with prescribing physicians about medication and consultation as needed with a child psychiatrist;Identifying needs for specialized therapeutic skills;
  • Considering the addition and/or subtraction of other CBHI services;
  • Guiding the use of the CANS and other data in continuous assessment;
  • Helping interns to balance their clinical judgment with the stated priorities of families; Ensuring that every family meeting has a purpose rationale and plan to move forward;
  • Assisting in identifying indicatorspointing to transition readiness relapse and completion;
  • Engaging interns in continuously learning from their experiences with families and applying their experiential knowledge to new situations;
  • Assisting interns in negotiating relationships with other organizations (such as state agencies and schools) and escalating the problem-solving process when needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. 1. Master Degree in Social Work

2. Independently Licensed in Social Work (LICSW) in Massachusetts with a minimum of five years of experience working with families and children in the Community.

3. Experienceworking with theCBHI program having a strong background in working with the Program and program requirements.

4. Prior supervision experience (at least 2 years)

Other

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions short correspondence memos business correspondenceand all other mental health-relateddocuments. Ability to write clear concise and accuratecorrespondence.
  • Capable of establishing positive interpersonal relationships with a broad range of people. Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel to both offices (Brockton and New Bedford)
  • The ability to speak another language other than English (Cape Verdean Haitian Spanish or Portuguese) is desired but not required.
