Job Summary

Following a recent internal promotion were pleased to offer a rare opportunity to move into the Asset Inspection team. This is a great chance to build on your existing knowledge grow your career and contribute to a team that plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our assets.

This is a full-time position working forty (40) hours per week Monday to Friday and can be based within our Gore Balclutha or Invercargill depots.

Key Responsibilities include:

As an Asset Inspector your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Undertaking all assigned asset inspections within the timeframe provided
Delivering timely reporting of assets (including taking photos of defects structure and system updates)
Developing and maintaining good customer relationships
Actively participating in all health and safety requirements
Ensuring all equipment is maintained and in good working order

What you will need to be successful:

The Asset Inspector role is physical and involves a lot of autonomy so we are looking for someone who is physically fit has a great work ethic and strong communication skills.

To be considered for the role you will need:

A high level of attention to detail
The ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
An ability to adapt to changing environments and working conditions (Variety of weather conditions and terrains)
To be mechanically minded and know your way around technology (Can use a tablet)

A NZ Drivers licence is essential and at least two years experience within the NZ electrical distribution industry is preferred.
