As an Engineering Manager for the BuyX Discovery team youll lead a team of software engineers building sophisticated discovery experiences that help millions of business customers find the right products. Youll drive technical excellence while developing your team members and delivering customer-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers fostering their growth and career development
- Drive technical architecture decisions and ensure operational excellence
- Partner with product UX and business teams to define and execute the technical roadmap
- Own the delivery of recommendation systems and large-scale distributed systems
- Drive data-driven decisions through metrics and customer insights
- Manage project prioritization resource allocation and technical debt
Impact Youll Make:
- Shape the future of B2B e-commerce discovery experiences
- Build solutions that serve millions of business customers globally
- Drive innovation in product discovery and personalization
- Develop the next generation of technical leaders
- 5 years of software development experience
- 3 years of people management experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong understanding of distributed systems APIs and scalable architectures
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience with machine learning data engineering and large language models
- Track record of delivering complex technical projects
- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
