Job Summary
Procurement Analyst

Requirements:
* Source and qualify suppliers by researching options evaluating capabilities and negotiating terms. Respond promptly to vendor inquiries on product specs packaging and shipping requirements.
* Purchase raw materials parts and services in alignment with production needs ensuring the right quantities quality standards and cost-effectiveness. Apply strong negotiation and competitive sourcing strategies while keeping current on market trends and conditions.
* Support cost-reduction initiatives by seeking vendor suggestions participating in value analysis and recommending process improvements in procurement. Stay up to date on new materials and manufacturing methods that could improve existing or new products.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers particularly those providing critical or high-value items through regular communication site visits and ongoing collaboration.
* Track and update delivery commitments lead times and order status in the ERP system to ensure accurate records and smooth information flow across departments. Provide timely updates to relevant internal teams regarding supplier performance and material availability.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality or delivery issues including negotiating replacement of defective items recovery of repair costs or expedited shipments when needed.
* Ensure all purchasing activity follows the companys quality assurance guidelines and complies with internal policies.
* Keep detailed and accurate records of quotes pricing delivery conditions and purchasing data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
*High school diploma required; bachelors degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent training and experience.
*At least two (2) years of purchasing experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or a similar environment with increasing responsibility.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
*Strong organizational communication and negotiation skills
