Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Facilities Team Coordinator. This role is based in our facility in Asheville NC.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanor. The successful candidate will have a high degree of knowledge in both indoor and outdoor upkeep and Facilities Maintenance. This covers areas such as building repairs and upkeep lawn and landscaping knowledge and construction familiarity. This role should be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with the industry and company standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety: maintain a safe work environment through training adherence to policies and housekeeping. Ensure that all areas of the plant are clean and organized daily including restrooms break rooms training rooms plant floor and yard. Sweep vacuum clean organize and remove trash daily. Ensure all heavy debris and waste is cleared inside and around the plant where needed Assist the Facilities team with clean up and post-preventive facilities maintenance work Maintain eyeglass cleaning stations water fountains and hand sanitizer stations as needed. Maintain and keep stock of cleaning supplies and tools required to keep the plant clean efficient and safe. Maintain yard work and grounds maintenance as needed including mowing & trimming bushes picking up trash snow & ice removal etc. Regularly wipe down machinery and auxiliary equipment. Perform various Facilities maintenance projects as the need arises such as changing light bulbs replacing ceiling tiles painting laying tile small repairs plumbing issues and small construction repairs/projects. Maintain acceptable housekeeping environmental and safe working conditions. Other duties as delegated.

Complexity and judgment

Regularly encounters problems that involve multiple-choice options but through prior exposure experience and established procedures/policies can resolve most appropriate course of action. Work involves both routine and non-routine tasks within well-defined standards.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Facilities Maintenance background and/or familiarity preferred.
  • Construction background preferred.
  • Proven understanding of the accurate handling of industrial cleaning supplies preferred.
  • Experience working within a Manufacturing Plant.
  • Experience using Powered Industrial Vehicles and hand tools.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Physical requirements

  • Has the capacity to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand lift and perform for long periods.
  • The ability to wear all required PPE such as safety glasses hearing protection.
  • Ability to work 8- 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical effort required is considerable due to heavy physical activities of various kinds. The physical setting is categorized as moderate owing to the exposure to a variety of substances or equipment encompassing moving machinery repetitive motions noise and powered industrial equipment. Regular work is performed in a non-controlled temperature environment. These exposures could produce discomfort and/or moderate risk of accident or ill health. The sensory attention is deemed moderate as it commonly involves heightened demand on two or more senses simultaneously. The mental stress is considered moderate due to regular pressures from due dates quotas and accuracy.
