Overview

Our client a growing construction company based in Miami FL is seeking an experienced and bilingual (Spanish) Accounting Manager to lead their financial operations. This is a high-impact hands-on leadership role focused on managing all accounting functions ensuring financial accuracy driving process improvements and supporting strategic business decisions. Fluency in Spanish and prior experience in the construction industry are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations including AP/AR payroll bank and credit card reconciliations
Supervise accounting staff and implement process and system improvements
Oversee month-end close and deliver timely accurate financial statements
Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP
Collaborate on budgeting forecasting and cash flow analysis
Communicate financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Coordinate with external CPAs auditors and tax professionals for annual filings
Manage relationships with banks insurers and legal/accounting partners
Oversee insurance renewals and subcontractor compliance documentation

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including 3 years in a Controller role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of project-based accounting and construction financial systems
Fluent inSpanish(Required)
Proficient inQuickBooksandMicrosoft Excel
Experience withBuildertrend(a plus)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
