Job Description

Position Requirements:
- Ensure quality of a product at all stages of manufacturing process.
- Drive and support continuous improvement throughout the department.
- Provide coaching and feedback to production associates to ensure job requirements are met and performance is optimum (performance reviews progressive discipline mentoring training etc.) Prepare and maintain related documentation ensuring confidentiality.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to drive safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
- Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets. Effectively communicate daily goals and objectives of the department to the team.
- Propose product or process improvements that will minimize quality defects both internal and external.
- Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up-to-date.
- Interface with shop floor personnel to teach and train quality or other product issues encountered.
- Assist in solving challenges and uncovering improvement opportunities. At BAK we value everyones input.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Assembly operations-based experience is strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational follow-up and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Lean and ISO Experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Software.
