Description:WHAT WERE DOING
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support our sonar and radar programs in development and production. As a key member of our team you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies equipment installation processing fabrication and material handling.
THE WORK
To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and leveraging your technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes. You will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams and communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving the adoption of new technologies and processes such as automation robotics and computer-aided manufacturing software to achieve greater efficiency cost reduction and quality improvement. You will create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and develop digital work instructions leveraging your understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences that drive operational excellence.
You will also be responsible for:
Evaluating the performance of equipment and tools including IoT devices and investigating and initiating corrective action to address problems and deficiencies
Leveraging factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement
Providing feedback to product design teams regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
