Job Summary
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a full-time experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our practice in Fort Pierce Florida and its Free-Standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
Must be board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
Must have at least 12 months of current and consecutive Emergency Medicine experience as an APP
Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROFILE
Level II Trauma Center
80000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16000 in pediatric ED
42-bed ED including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds
3 trauma bays including 1 pediatric
70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED)
60 hours of APP coverage
26% admission rate
Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
Interventional cardiac cath facility
code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound
24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
High acuity
