Essential Responsibilities

  • Complete machine set-up and load tools as required
  • Utilize tool room equipment such as Bridgeport Mills engine lathers surface and internal grinding equipment hand tools drills saws insert tooling etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints hand sketches and specs. Ability to use CAD or other digital design tools to document ideas or work closely with an engineer to complete this task
  • Perform Jaw cutting and re-cutting.
  • Set fixture offsets as required.
  • Verify correct tool hardware tool diameter tool radius drill length and end mills.
  • Verify accuracy of tool offset changes as needed.
  • Perform periodic inspections of calibration.
  • Maintain accurate work records.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
  • Support our team concept and learn/perform other duties as required.
  • Run production machines as needed
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with others both written and verbal.
  • Follow and promote safe work practices.
  • Support LEAN initiatives.
  • Lift light to medium weight in an environment that may occasionally require crouching stooping and/or awkward work positions.
  • Support the design of tools and fixtures


Requirements include.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of CNC machining experience
  • 2 years of tool room experience
  • Experience with Bridgeport mills and engine lathes surface grinding and drilling.
  • Ability to read understand and utilize procedures sketches and blueprints as well as perform basic mathematical calculations.

Desirable characteristics

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment and demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
  • Water Jet experience
  • Wire EDM
  • Gun Drill and precision boring experience

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore for applicants who are not U.S. lawful permanent residents U.S. Citizens or have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e. not a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) otherwise known as a U.S. Person) employment will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
