Job Summary
The SLPA provides remediatory speech and language services to students as directed by a speech language position will work DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List key areas of responsibility major job duties and key objectives for this position)Provide input for speech and language diagnostic assessments for all students on caseload Attends all IEP meetings reviews and transdisciplinary meetings as necessary Documents speech language services in the form of goals and progress reports on a quarterly basisProvides staff with suggestions and methodology training and interventions to be implemented in the various domains where students with staff observation and consultation time as part of the integrated service delivery parents/guardians with outside consultation and/or evaluationsConducts hearing services on all students once a yearAttends all school faculty meetings/in-services as scheduledKeeps all student-related information confidentialProvide individual/group or collaborative/consultative services as directed to address students IEP goals Completes annual professional development requirementsMaintain documentation of direct and indirect supervision from speech language pathologistIntervenes physically in behaviorally aggressive situations as trainedUpholds the mission and corporate values of Cardinal Cushing Centers of MassachusettsRegular attendance and promptly reporting to work at the beginning of the scheduled shift are essential functions of this position Assumes additional responsibilities as assignedRun therapeutic groups in the residential and classroom setting
