Background

The Production Development Department at Saab is a critical component of our Surveillance operations. Our primary focus is on the design development and optimisation of production processes for a wide range of advanced technological systems. These systems include various defence and security solutions. Our work ensures that Saabs products are manufactured efficiently reliably and to the highest standards of quality and performance.

Description of the master thesis

This Master thesis will aim to further develop our work with flow simulation software (Discrete Event Simulation) to be able to fast visualize bottle necks and take data driven decisions on where to improve the process.

Finding the best way to build up the flow simulation model and also build up the way of working around this.

Your profile

This Master Thesis is suitable for 2 individuals with interest in Production development and lean manufacturing.

You are at the end of your Master of Science degree preferably within Production development or equivalent and about to start your Master Thesis work for 30 HP. You are interested in working in simulation softwares and developing methods to work with this kind of tools.
