Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer to join Providence Health & Services SMMC. This role involves performing advanced echocardiographic imaging in both adult and pediatric settings. The caseload is predominantly adult (95%) with required infant/pediatric experience for 1 2 patients daily.

Responsibilities:

Perform echocardiographic studies including Adult Echo Pediatric Echo Stress Echo (Treadmill & Pharmacologic) Bubble Studies and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
Independently manage a daily caseload of 10 patients per tech ensuring quality imaging and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare providers to interpret and document findings.
Provide imaging support in adult acute care outpatient ER and pediatric acute care (including NICU).
Participate in on-call rotation (0 2 shifts per week evenings/nights).
Work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
Ensure compliance with facility protocols patient safety standards and HIPAA regulations.

Key Requirements:

Hard Stop: Must have Infant/Pediatric Echo experience in addition to adult imaging.
Local radius restriction: 50 miles (reach out to AM for local rate).
Epic charting experience preferred.
Equipment: GE (preferred) PACS.
Daily caseload expectation: 8 10 adults 1 2 peds.
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks).

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Echocardiography program.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography.
Required: Community hospital experience.
Pediatric/NICU echo scanning required.
Travel experience not required.

License/Certifications:

BLS (required).
One of the following (preferred):
- ARRT Sonography*
- CCI RCS*
- RDCS Adult*
- RDCS Peds*

Skills:

Required: Adult Echo Pediatric Echo Portable Studies.
Preferred: 3D Echo Bubble Study Imaging with Contrast Agents M-Mode Stress Echo RVIT/RVOT TEE.
Ability to scan complex anomalies in pediatric/infant cases.
