Job Summary

THE POSITION

This is a Washington County internal promotional opportunity for current employees in the Road Maintenance Worker classification only.

The Operations andMaintenanceDivision within LUT is currently accepting applications for Senior Road Maintenance Workers to establish a pool of employees eligible to promote.Employees must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Meet the minimum qualifications of the Senior Road Maintenance Worker classification

Possess a satisfactory performance assessment and learning plan:

The employeeMeets Overall Job Requirements and QUALIFIES for step increase (ifapplicable)on their last performance evaluation

The employee does NOT have an active performance improvement plan and

The employee has NOT been issued any written discipline during the 12 months preceding the posting date of this recruitment.

Possess asatisfactory safety record:

The employee has no more than two (2) preventable property damage-only incidents during the 12 months preceding the posting date of this recruitment less than $2500 per incident and

The employee has zero (0) preventable property damage-only incidents during the 24 months preceding the posting date of this recruitment that equals or exceeds $2500.

Possess level 5 certifications on primary equipment of the classification they are applying to. The listed primary equipment can be reviewed on the Teamsters MOU here: JOB DUTIES
Duties may include:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED; AND
- Four (4) years of experience in road construction road maintenance or heavy carpentry to include two (2) years of commercial truck driving operating construction equipment farm equipment or equivalent.
- Must possess a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) valid in the State of Oregon which includes a current DOT Medical Certificate a tanker endorsement and no restrictions on air brake manual transmission and tractor trailer 5^th wheel and have an acceptable driving record.
- All external candidates will be required to pass a post-offer physical abilities assessment and drug screening prior to employment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) valid in the State of Oregon which includes a current DOT Medical Certificate a tanker endorsement and no restrictions on air brake manual transmission and tractor trailer 5^th wheel and have an acceptable driving record.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

4. Eligibility List: Arank-orderedeligibilitylist will beestablishedbased onthe resultsof theinterview. The top employees will be offered a promotion dependentonthenumber of vacancies.The eligibility list will remain active for six months and vacancies that occur during that period may be filled using this list.If there is a tie on the eligibility list the employee with the mostsenioritywill be placed in the higher position on the list.
