Job Summary

Job Role- DevOps engineer with expertise in Terraform

Job Location- Richmond VA

Key Responsibilities

Architect build and maintain enterprise-grade Terraform modules remote state management and workspaces.

Define and enforce Terraform governance (naming standards tagging policies RBAC cost controls security integration).

Design and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML templates multi-stage) for both apps and infra.

Standardize reusable pipeline frameworks for multiple product teams.

Integrate security compliance and testing gates into pipelines (DevSecOps practices).

Collaborate with cloud architects developers and security to define Azure IaC standards.

Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers on IaC Git workflows and automation best practices.

Drive governance around secrets management identity and RBAC.

Troubleshoot complex pipeline failures Terraform state conflicts and deployment issues.

Continuously improve processes for scalability reliability and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

6 10 years in DevOps/Cloud engineering with at least 3 years on Azure DevOps Terraform.

Expert in Terraform HCL module design state backends workspaces and automation patterns.

Strong practical experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML templates multi-stage deployments).

Deep knowledge of Azure resources (Networking AKS App Services Key Vault Monitoring RBAC).

Strong scripting skills (PowerShell Bash or Python).

Experience implementing governance and compliance policies (tagging policies RBAC).

Hands-on with containerization and orchestration (Docker AKS/Kubernetes).

Strong troubleshooting and optimization mindset
