Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Mechanical and Controls Project Manager with a solid background in Plumbing and HVAC systems to oversee projects in data centers and large-scale commercial construction environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical scopes-including HVAC plumbing and building automation/controls systems-from planning through closeout ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle mechanical and controls projects within data centers and commercial facilities.
Lead coordination and execution of HVAC plumbing and building automation systems.
Interface with clients engineers subcontractors and cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment.
Review construction documents specifications and submittals for accuracy and adherence to scope.
Manage RFIs submittals procurement schedules and change orders.
Oversee installation integration and commissioning of mechanical and control systems.
Ensure compliance with project timelines budgets safety standards and quality requirements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections resolving any field-related issues promptly.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of work packages.
Support commissioning teams with functional testing and system validations for data center readiness.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7 years of experience in mechanical project management with emphasis on HVAC and plumbing.
Proven experience managing mechanical and controls systems in data centers and/or large commercial construction.
Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and controls integration.
Deep understanding of mission-critical infrastructure and mechanical system redundancy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Procore Bluebeam and scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera).
Strong leadership organization and communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
