Location: San Ramon CA (90% Remote)

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will drive market growth for Home Care company by building strategic referral relationships managing territory expansion efforts and leading a team of Business Development Representatives. This high-impact role is ideal for a healthcare sales expert passionate about expanding access to home care services for seniors across San Ramon and East Bay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture referral networks with hospitals physicians case managers social workers skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
  • Represent client at community events health fairs networking functions senior expos and professional associations to increase brand visibility and build partnerships.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory growth plans using in-person visits presentations and ongoing relationship management.
  • Analyze referral trends track competitor activity and assess market conditions to inform business development strategy.
  • Collaborate with intake and clinical teams to ensure seamless referral-to-admission experiences for clients upholding quality care standards.
  • Report on business development metrics deliver insights to leadership and recommend actions for revenue and census growth.
  • Manage two Business Development Representatives provide mentorship and foster a high-performance team atmosphere.
  • Attend periodic in-person meetings at the San Ramon office and travel regularly within the territory to engage referral partners and prospects (almost daily travel expected).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3 5 years of business development or sales experience in home health hospice senior living or related healthcare vertical.
  • Proven success developing referral networks and achieving/exceeding sales quotas with a focus on census growth.
  • Established industry relationships in San Ramon/East Bay region strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent organizational analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Self-driven results-oriented and collaborative approach to work.
  • Valid drivers license reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned market.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary uncapped commission (OTE $200000)
