Job Description Summary

The Image Quality Scientist is responsible for research and development for new and existing imaging products in the GE HealthCare Surgery product line. They prove a concept to be valid by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. Their work typically has the objective of demonstrating through test or analysis the performance and implementation potential of a concept. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Specifying requirements which can be implemented by the engineering team
  • Executing design to engineering standards
  • Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality
  • Verification and validation of system features and sub-systems relating to X-ray exposure control image processing and visualization.
  • Working within a team to deliver technical solutions
  • Working with external collaborators and/or technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs projects or initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

MS in Life Sciences Chemistry Physics Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field and 4 years relevant work experience.
