Job Summary

Are you a strategic HR professional who thrives on shaping talent strategies and making a meaningful impact At Securian Financial were looking for a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our collaborative HR this role youll partner closely with senior leaders to influence talent strategies and achieve business results across multiple dynamic functionsspanning sales distribution underwriting actuarial and beyond.

This is an exciting opportunity to flex both your strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving skills while driving initiatives that support our people and business success.

What Youll Do

  • Shape Talent Strategies: Develop and deliver HR solutions that align with business goals and enterprise priorities.
  • Consult with Leaders: Provide trusted HR guidance on organizational design change management and leadership effectiveness.
  • Partner Across HR: Work closely with Centers of Excellence on initiatives like succession planning performance enablement compensation and talent reviews.
  • Drive Engagement & Retention: Use HR data to inform strategies that strengthen employee experience inclusion and business outcomes.
  • Lead & Collaborate: Support enterprise-wide projects lead HR initiatives and contribute to cross-functional teams that shape the future of work at Securian.

What Were Looking For

  • Experienced HR Partner: 5 years as an HRBP with a track record of influencing senior leaders and solving complex talent challenges.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinker: Skilled at connecting business priorities with talent strategies and leveraging data for decision-making.
  • Collaborative Influencer: Able to build trust resolve conflict and partner effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Business-Minded & Adaptive: Strong business acumen with the agility to navigate both big-picture planning and tactical execution.
  • Communicator & Planner: Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills.


Preferred:

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
  • Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$86500.00 - $160000.00

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience skills knowledge etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
