Seeking creative organized and technically savvy undergraduate students to serve as Podcast Producers. You will be part of a dynamic team that blends storytelling sound production and digital engagement to amplify diverse voices and ideas. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about audio media Black feminist culture and community storytelling.

Location:Schaffer Library Podcast Studio & Lippman 206
Supervisor: Deidre Hill Butler
Work Available:3 hours per week; daytime; Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $9.70/hr
Womanist Musingsis a student-produced podcast that centers Black feminist thought activism and cultural narratives. Each episode explores themes of identity community and social justice from a womanist perspective.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Content Creation & Planning: Assist with episode outlines script development and guest coordination.
Audio Editing: UseSoundtrapto edit and mix podcast episodes into polished final products.
Content Editing: Refine show notes transcripts and episode descriptions for clarity tone and accessibility.
Social Media Management: Create and schedule engaging content (Instagram X/Twitter YouTube etc.) to promote episodes and expand the podcasts audience.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with hosts and co-producers to brainstorm themes and segment ideas.
Digital File Management: Organize and archive podcast audio graphics and documents efficiently.
Qualifications:
Experience withSoundtrapor similar audio editing software
Strong writing and editing skills
Interest in Black feminist thought digital media and cultural production
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation tools (e.g. Canva)
Dependable communicative and able to meet weekly production deadlines
Location: Schenectady NY
