Job Summary

Associate Director Town Planning
Location: Bedford or Rugby (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Competitive Dependent on Experience

A well-established employee-owned planning consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director (Town Planning) to join their team at either their Bedford or Rugby office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chartered planning professional to take on a leadership role within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The consultancy operates across a range of sectors and offers a broad portfolio of exciting projects within both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading on site promotion and local plan work
Providing expert planning advice to clients
Preparing for and attending hearings and public inquiries
Building and maintaining client relationships
Supporting business development and networking activity
Mentoring junior team members and overseeing project delivery

The position also involves helping to grow the consultancys presence in the East Midlands and East of England regions while contributing to a nationwide portfolio that includes residential commercial and specialist housing schemes.

Essential Criteria:

Chartered RTPI membership
Strong planning knowledge across a variety of development types
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive and organised approach to project delivery
Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience:

Public inquiry and hearing representation
Fee proposals and tender submissions
Project budgeting and invoicing
Staff mentoring and line management
Proven track record of business development
