Overview

Were looking for a seasoned and drivenSenior Underwriterto join our West Region Risk Management team as anAssistant Vice President. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strong broker relationships and underwriting complex primary casualty risks.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Use your underwriting authority to evaluate and price business acrossWorkers Compensation Commercial General Liability and Commercial Auto Liability while staying aligned with Everests underwriting guidelines.
  • Build and maintain broker relationships throughout theSan Francisco Bay Area and the Northwest with a focus on primary casualty business.
  • Help shape and execute business strategies that drive submission flow and bind profitable business.
  • Partner closely with teams across the organizationincluding marketing & distribution actuary claims loss control premium audit and legalto develop and maintain a strong portfolio of primary casualty placements.

Qualifications Education & Experience:

  • A college degree is preferred along with10 years of experienceunderwriting primary casualty insurance.
  • Professional designations such asCPCU CRIS or ARMare a plus.
  • Experience working with a variety of program structuresfrom guaranteed cost to large deductibles and captive programs.
  • Established relationships with West Region brokers and/or direct clients in the primary casualty space.
  • Strong presentation communication and business development skills.

The base salary range for this position is $150000- $220000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location.All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage an employee wellness program life and disability insurance 401k match retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
