Overview

Were looking for a seasoned and drivenSenior Underwriterto join our West Region Risk Management team as anAssistant Vice President. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strong broker relationships and underwriting complex primary casualty risks.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Use your underwriting authority to evaluate and price business acrossWorkers Compensation Commercial General Liability and Commercial Auto Liability while staying aligned with Everests underwriting guidelines.
Build and maintain broker relationships throughout theSan Francisco Bay Area and the Northwest with a focus on primary casualty business.
Help shape and execute business strategies that drive submission flow and bind profitable business.
Partner closely with teams across the organizationincluding marketing & distribution actuary claims loss control premium audit and legalto develop and maintain a strong portfolio of primary casualty placements.

Qualifications Education & Experience:

A college degree is preferred along with10 years of experienceunderwriting primary casualty insurance.
Professional designations such asCPCU CRIS or ARMare a plus.
Experience working with a variety of program structuresfrom guaranteed cost to large deductibles and captive programs.
Established relationships with West Region brokers and/or direct clients in the primary casualty space.
Strong presentation communication and business development skills.

The base salary range for this position is $150000- $220000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location.All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage an employee wellness program life and disability insurance 401k match retirement savings plan paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
