Our Infrastructure Division specializes in Civil Municipal and Concrete projects delivering quality construction that improves the communities we serve. We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join this team and help uphold our mission of excellence safety and innovation.

Position Summary

The Safety Manager will support Infrastructure crews by visiting job sites across Civil Municipal and Concrete projects assessing conditions and mitigating risks. This individual will work closely with project leadership to design and enforce site-specific safety programs ensuring compliance with both company standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and evaluate safety risks.

  • Develop and implement inspection policies procedures and schedules for routine audits.

  • Lead and schedule safety training programs covering workplace safety emergency procedures and compliance.

  • Monitor project adherence to company safety standards and OSHA regulations.

  • Support safety programs by conducting JSAs (Job Safety Analyses) audits and safety program development.

  • Draft inspection and incident reports to document findings and corrective actions.

  • Ensure safety equipment and materials are properly maintained and accessible.

  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to field personnel.

  • Lead and document incident and accident investigations with follow-up corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with project leadership to design project-specific safety solutions.

  • Perform additional safety-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety Occupational Safety & Health or related field (preferred).

  • BSCP or STSC certification required.

  • 5 years of safety management experience in Infrastructure projects (Civil Municipal or Concrete sectors preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and industry best practices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Adobe) and able to learn safety-related software.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working within diverse project teams.

  • Strong technical writing ability for preparing reports policies and safety communications.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting computer work and field activity.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

  • Must be able to travel frequently between infrastructure projects.
