Job Description

Night School e-Learning Teacher

Effective Dates: week of October 27 2025 to week of March 30 2026 for all courses

The teacher will deliver curriculum to students of BHNCDSB in an eLearning format. Teachers will be responsible for planning instructing assessing and reporting for the eLearning course.

Available Position(s):
Subject to annual budget approval and/or annual system organization and/or sufficient program enrolment the Board intends to offer the following e-Learning courses:


CGG3O - Senior Geography

OLC4O - Senior English

Credit Recovery - Any Intermediate/Senior qualification


Qualification(s):

Basic: Based on course as noted above
Experience: OCT certified teacher
Other: Additional qualifications in area of study preferred. Previous experience in online teaching is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The teacher will be responsible for instructing assessing and reporting on credit recovery credit content. The teacher will also participate in all daily meetings to receive updates provided by the facility;
  • Online courses will be taught in Brightspace D2L from on-line course materials provided by the Ministry and edited by BHNCDSB participating teachers;
  • Establish and Communicate clear course and assessment criteria;
  • Use technology to deliver engaging lessons incorporating learning goals/success criteria;
  • Provide timely descriptive feedback;
  • Provide curricular and technological support to students as needed;
