The Shaw Group is looking to add a Material Control Specialist to our Procurement team the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day Inventory Control and Receiving function in support of production operations.

What youll do

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day inventory control and receiving functions for the production needs.
  • Ensure smooth operation of stock rooms including providing guidance to personnel involved in onsite replenishment.
  • Manage the receiving of goods and services across our various sites.
  • Product receipt validation and system receiving.
  • Manage receiving paperwork flow to support the procurement back-order process.
  • Maintain receiving records.
  • Manage receiving information flow to production.
  • Run Bi-Weekly back-order meetings.
  • Stocked Inventory Control
  • Plant cycle counts
  • Manage service provider site sign-in process.
  • Ensure cleanliness and neatness of stock room and workspace.
  • Continuously improve processes to maintain uninterrupted flow of material to production address and resolve any challenges which might arise in this area.
  • Assist in resolving supplier invoice discrepancies related to receiving issues.
  • Maintains computer inventory control system; monitors inventory; prepares any needed reports and initiates any necessary follow-up action.
  • Assists in managing weekly order status reporting.
  • Provide training to operations on receiving protocols.

What youll need

Qualifications

  • 2-5 Years of Inventory Control industrial operations or receiving
  • Excel and ERP expereince
  • Ability to organize and convey ideas and strategies.
