The Shaw Group is looking to add a Material Control Specialist to our Procurement team the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day Inventory Control and Receiving function in support of production operations.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day inventory control and receiving functions for the production needs.
- Ensure smooth operation of stock rooms including providing guidance to personnel involved in onsite replenishment.
- Manage the receiving of goods and services across our various sites.
- Product receipt validation and system receiving.
- Manage receiving paperwork flow to support the procurement back-order process.
- Maintain receiving records.
- Manage receiving information flow to production.
- Run Bi-Weekly back-order meetings.
- Stocked Inventory Control
- Plant cycle counts
- Manage service provider site sign-in process.
- Ensure cleanliness and neatness of stock room and workspace.
- Continuously improve processes to maintain uninterrupted flow of material to production address and resolve any challenges which might arise in this area.
- Assist in resolving supplier invoice discrepancies related to receiving issues.
- Maintains computer inventory control system; monitors inventory; prepares any needed reports and initiates any necessary follow-up action.
- Assists in managing weekly order status reporting.
- Provide training to operations on receiving protocols.
What youll need
Qualifications
- 2-5 Years of Inventory Control industrial operations or receiving
- Excel and ERP expereince
- Ability to organize and convey ideas and strategies.
