Job Description

As an intern youll work onsite alongside experienced full-stack developers on real high-impact projects that directly influence how financial institutions process mortgages. Our 12 week in-person opportunity offers hands-on experience with modern web technologies in our collaborative agile environment where youll contribute to solutions that unite people AI and data.

Objectives:

Learn and participate in the full software development process within the mortgage lending domain

Support the product refinement process including ticket creation and analysis for development work

Engage in brainstorming sessions to propose innovative ideas and solutions for mortgage workflows

Participate in proof-of-concept implementations and prototypes to gather feedback and make informed decisions

Follow architectural decisions made by the team and understand the reasoning behind mortgage-specific solutions

What youll gain:

Experience with our modern tech stack featuring Ruby on Rails backend and frontend development

Understanding of mortgage lending processes regulations and customer journey optimization

Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes including automated testing and deployment pipelines

One-on-one mentoring from experienced full-stack engineers specializing in financial services

Business acumen in mortgage lending and fintech understanding both technical and regulatory aspects

Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Product Management QA and Go-live support teams

Exposure to AI tools and techniques used in software development including code generation testing debugging and optimization processes

Technical Requirements:

Programming Languages: Academic knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Ruby Python Java or JavaScript preferred)

Web Development: Foundational understanding of web application development concepts through coursework or personal projects

Frontend Technologies: Basic exposure to HTML CSS and JavaScript with bonus points for modern frameworks ( React Angular)

Development Tools: Familiarity with code versioning tools particularly Git (academic or personal project experience acceptable)

Software Design: Understanding of software engineering best practices including coding standards and testing through coursework

Database Concepts: Academic exposure to SQL or database management concepts is a plus

CI/CD Awareness: Classroom knowledge or self-study of continuous integration/deployment concepts preferred but not

Development Practices: Basic understanding of agile software development methodologies through coursework or personal learning

Additional Requirements:

Currently pursuing or recent graduate of a bachelors degree in computer science Engineering related field or recent graduate of a coding bootcamp.

This position requires current work authorization in the United States that will not require employer sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this internship position.

Willingness to work onsite at our Lehi Utah officefor the Summer Program

Full time onsite availability from May to August

Strong analytical written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environments

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge skills abilities proficiencies experience education licensures/certifications as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The recruiter for this job posting can share more compensation details during the recruitment process as base salary is only one component of the total compensation package per position posted.

The base salary range for this job is:

$22.50 - $27.00
