Position: Full-Time Utility Operator
Required Shifts: 12 Hour Shifts- Day Shift; 6 am-6:30pm. Night Shift; 6pm-6:30am. No rotating shifts!
Shift Schedules: Schedule is 4 on 4 off
Mars Petcare (Greenies) is looking to hire a Utility Operator at our climate-controlled Kansas City MO location!

The Utility Operator is responsible for general packaging and other basic production duties as assigned. May be required to operate other production equipment as needed.
What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills Preferably iPad
- Basic math and measuring skills; enjoys hands-on working environment and problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachable
- Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to adapt to changing environment Resiliency
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and have full mobility to climb stairs and ladders
What will be your key responsibilities
Conducting basic manufacturing activities to support the production and packaging of Greenies and Pill Pockets. This includes but not limited to the following activities:
- Moving product from one area to another
- Feeding bags into the product line
- Conducting inventory and other administrative duties as required
- Demonstrate a food safety quality culture in actions words and spirit.
- Conducting and managing inventory and other administrative duties as required
- Assisting with basic preventative maintenance work as assigned (CILs)
- Wearing the required Mars uniform and PPE.
- Conduct sanitation activities as required
- Perform quality checks
Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude. Must be reliable conscientious punctual and have a good work ethic. No previous manufacturing experience is required but must have the mechanical aptitude to succeed.
Compensation:
- $1500 sign on bonus
- Pay based on experience.
- Shift differential of $1.50
- OT potential
