Summary
The Scheduler will report to the Scheduling Department within Heavy Civil Operations supporting project teams by creating updating and managing bid schedules baseline schedules and monthly schedule updates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and secure approval for baseline schedules incorporating field insights.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify risks and opportunities during planning and execution.
- Support monthly schedule updates including actuals plan revisions and narratives.
- Ensure schedule quality adherence to best practices and contract compliance.
- Compile and report schedule data for operations management.
- Assist in delay or claim management using Time Impact Analysis.
- Create visual presentations using Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint etc.
- Provide training on planning/scheduling practices and Primavera P6 software.
- Work with estimating and operations teams to develop bid schedules.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Construction Management or related field.
- 3-7 years of field experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer in heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
- 2 years of project scheduling experience.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 for schedule development and management.
- Strong knowledge of critical path methodology and milestone tracking.
- Skilled in building and managing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity coding in P6.
- Experience with Deltek Acumen Fuse is a plus.
- Federal and DOT project experience is a plus.
- Field experience in quantity tracking cost control forecasting and schedule updates required.
- Proven ability to translate field conditions into realistic actionable schedules.
